Both teams took a little while to settle in. With strong defence from loungers Claire Johnson and Sally Sandison put pressure on Tullochs shooters to score. However Tullochs accurate shooting from Taliah Leslie and Tahnae Maclennan got strong goals throughout the first quarter, ending the quarter at 7-8 to Loungers.
The second quarter started with Tullochs moving quickly and sharply, with good feeding into the circle by Cameron Johnston and Claire Morris. Loungers Hazel Johnson showed great play in mid court and displayed great feeding into their shooters, Stella Oldbury and Ava Sim. However Tullochs managed to take the lead and the quarter ended 19-15 to Tullochs.
In the third quarter both teams went on court with determination, with excellent linking up the court from Claire Morris, Clare Farmer and Ava Williams. Tulloch’s still maintained the lead by one goal with the quarter ending 28-20.
In the final quarter loungers showed brilliant play putting pressure on Tulloch’s. Loungers showed brilliant linking up court with fast movement and passing into their shooting circle. Both teams fought really hard throughout the final quarter which ended 35-32 to Tullochs. The players of the match were Sally Sandison for Loungers and Emma Leask for team Tullochs.
